Privacy policy

Account details: your email address and sign-in history.

Application details: name, age range, sports and levels, mailing address, phone, your connection to T1D, your story, social media handles, and the agreements you accept.

For athletes under 18: a parent or guardian's name, email, their connection to T1D, and a dated record of their approval.

Portal activity: training and events you log, gear and support requests, and photos or stories you choose to share.

To review applications, support accepted athletes, ship gear to your mailing address, and send you updates about your account.

Applications and account details are private. They are seen only by you, an authorized parent or guardian, T1D Warriors staff and the service providers we need to run the program.

Under the Program Terms you accept when joining, we may reuse all content you provide through the app (photos, videos, stories, posts, bio and application story answers), and our team may feature a bio on our website. We never publish your email, phone, date of birth or mailing address.

We never sell or rent your information.

We share details only with service providers who help us run the program (such as email delivery and secure hosting), and only as needed.

We run our own ads on Facebook and Instagram. To measure whether they work, this site uses a Meta (Facebook) measurement tool that tells Meta when someone visits a page or completes an application, along with basic browser and device details.

We never send Meta your name, email, application answers, health details or anything you share in the program. Meta uses these signals only to measure and improve our own ads. To opt out, email team@t1dw.org and we will stop measuring your visits.

We also ask whether we may count anonymous page visits. Your answer is stored in this browser only. Analytics choice reopens that question so you can change your mind at any time.

You can choose which emails you get on your email preferences page, or with the link at the bottom of our emails. Sign-in links and parent approval requests are always sent.

Data is stored with encryption and access controls. Staff access requires two-step sign-in. Photos and media are kept in private storage.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing team@t1dw.org. A parent can make these requests for their child.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 except through a parent or guardian.
